Created for the 10th year of the Lodhi Art District and supported by Asian Paints, The Forest in Me uses colour to draw attention to the intricate relationships that sustain ecological systems, highlighting species, habitats, and connections that might otherwise go unnoticed.This World Environment Day, we revisit The Forest in Me, a mural by Svabhu Kohli ( @svabhukohli ) in collaboration with Ram Sangchoju.Bringing together the forests of the Western Ghats and the landscapes surrounding Pakke Tiger Reserve in Arunachal Pradesh, the mural imagines ecology as a network of relationships that extends beyond geography. Created through a collaboration between Svabhu and Ram, a young specially abled artist whose drawings emerge from close observation of the forest outside his home, the work transforms a wall into a meeting ground between distant ecosystems, species, stories, and ways of seeing.As conversations around environmental futures become increasingly urgent, The Forest in Me reminds us that forests are never isolated. Every trip leaves behind a story, toh maine socha, why not give those stories a wall of their own? ❤️Inspired by a corner I spotted on @asianpaints Where The Heart Is, I transformed a plain wall into a travel memory wall that’s ready to hold postcards, photographs, tickets, and memories from every adventure.I started by prepping the wall with proper sanding and a coat of Asian Paints Royale Wall Base Coat. Once it was dry, I lightly sanded the surface and painted the wall in Asian Paints Royale Glitz, shade Twilight Zone. Three coats later, the colour looked exactly the way I had imagined.For the memory board, I built a frame using pine wood, stained it with Asian Paints Wood Stainer in Oak Yellow, and polished it using Asian Paints WoodTech Touchwood. I then spray-painted a metal mesh grid using Asian Paints ezyCR8 Apcolite Acrylic Spray Paint in Gold and fixed it inside the frame.Finally, I pinned up some of my favourite travel memories and just like that, a boring wall turned into a little corner full of stories, adventures, and memories waiting to be made✨ #ad#DIYProjects #DIYHomeDecor #HomeDecorIdeas #WallMakeover by @asianpaints
