School was often a struggle for me. When I look back, I wish it had taught me more of the stuff that really matters in life. How to live healthily, mentally and physically; how to be an empowered team member and leader; how to communicate and win consensus. Debt, loans, tax. Marriage. Friendships. Goal setting and attitudes; dealing with failure and set backs. Instead I had to teach myself. And it was messy at times.I have also noticed how often the kids who were naturally celebrated because the were the sporty or clever ones, so often struggled most when real life started. Because school never taught them that good things just don’t come easy in life.To every kid who feels invisible in the system right now, but who still shows up and does their best, with a smile and persistence. I salute you. You’ve got this. You’re going to do great in life if you keep at it. The tortoise tends to win. Not always the hare. by @beargrylls

Running Wild has brought some of the most powerful people in the world to the end of my rope. Literally. You check that knot a few extra times when a President or Prime Minister is on it. But what I admire most about these guests isn't the fame or the titles. It's that they choose to be uncomfortable. They want to step out. They want to be tested. And it's no surprise to me that the people who reach the top are the same ones who never stop pushing themselves. Adventure is a state of mind… by @beargrylls
