A challenging weekend for us. With the contact I was pretty much stuck in no man’s land and couldn’t extract more from the car. Tough to take especially given all the hard work the team has put in, but this won’t define us. It’s how we keep going. We’re taking what we can from these past few days and putting everything else behind us. We move forward.

20 seasons as an F1 driver. It’s hard to even grasp the reality of that number. It started with a dream. A dream some called ridiculous and said would never amount to anything. Despite that, the dream never changed, and I never stopped chasing it. A dream has to be matched with action and, above all, belief. Belief that doesn’t break no matter what’s thrown in your face or what you come up against. There will always be people who doubt you, people who try to block you, but you can’t ever stop fighting.Twenty years filled with incredible highs and brutal lows, with more mistakes than I can count. Second row start tomorrow 💥 It wasn’t the easiest of sessions and there’s so much more to extract from the car. Definitely left a few tenths out there. Even though there’s still quite the gap to the cars in front, it’s clear we’ve continued to make progress. Heads down for the race tomorrow, we’ll give it everything we’ve got to keep the fight alive. I love this track and can’t wait for tomorrow. Thanks to the team for the hard work to get us here and to the fans for the energy.

AUSTIN, you never disappoint. There are so many positives to take from this weekend. I’m feeling more and more at one with the car so we’re definitely moving in the right direction. Big shout to the team for the hard work that’s gone into getting us this result and major love to all the fans out in Austin. Witnessing the human cost of this crisis is impossible to forget. Lewis Hamilton travelled to Jordan last month to meet teams from the Jordan Red Crescent and the Palestine Red Crescent Societies, hearing directly from those working tirelessly to support people in Gaza.⁣ ⁣From doctors treating injuries, to teams supporting people through harsh winter conditions, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement continues delivering care, dignity and hope. ⁣ ⁣But the trickle of aid reaching Gaza is nowhere near enough, and winter has only deepened the suffering. People need a sustained, unimpeded flow of lifesaving support to withstand these conditions.⁣ ⁣We must not stop talking about this continued and devastating crisis.

That’s nearly the season done. It’s surreal to be a part of this team, and through the ups and downs this year has been life changing. I’ll have more time after this weekend to really meditate on the season, but for now I want to thank everyone on this team for showing up every day and constantly striving for success. Six months ago I posted a little introduction reel and, rather unexpectedly, lots of you decided to stay.

Since then this little corner of the internet has continued to grow into something I never quite anticipated. A place filled with flowers, boots, cottage gardens, dogs, ducks, sentimental ramblings and people who seem to appreciate all of those things just as much as I do.

So I thought perhaps it was time for another introduction.

The truth is, not a huge amount has changed and yet somehow everything has. The garden has grown taller. The sweet peas have climbed a little higher. There are more ducks than there were six months ago (a sentence I suspect I will continue to say for the rest of my life).

Elodie remains firmly convinced she owns the cottage. Ottie remains firmly convinced she should never be disturbed from a nap. I remain someone who gets far too excited about flowers blooming and evening light falling across the garden.

The older I get, the more I realise that what I’m trying to create isn’t perfection, it’s simply a life that feels like my own, one filled with beauty where I can find it. A life that leaves room for softness.

The last six months have brought plenty of wonderful moments, but they have also been a reminder that life can be fragile and uncertain too. I think that’s partly why I hold onto the small things so tightly - the flowers on the kitchen table; the first rose of the season; a dog asleep at my feet; the sound of birdsong through an open window; a garden slowly coming to life. Tiny moments perhaps, but often the ones that matter most.

Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or you’ve only just arrived, thank you for being here, for caring about the flowers, for your lovely words about the animals - but mostly, thank you for allowing me to share this wonderfully imperfect little life with you.
