Extremely rare images 😂 How many of you have actually seen me grab the mic?I’m guessing not many lolIt absolutely works when DJs get on the mic, It's the standard these days and so many people are great at it - I always encouraged the artists I managed to do it… I just never really wanted to do it myself. It wasn't part of the culture when I first got into dance music and I always wanted to hear a good MC or nothing at all.There were definitely moments in sets where I know I could’ve elevated things with a few words - maybe counting to three, maybe counting down from three.But I always felt like… if I could smash a rave without touching the mic, that was an even bigger achievement for me.Sometimes it didn’t work. But most of the time it did 😜
I was working my way through the archives year by year - I get to 2012 and then this '2016 trend' comes along and has played complete havoc with my OCD 🤯 Turns out I actually have very few photos from that year, but a lot of good memories 😀
