According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, the Charlotte rapper has officially settled the civil lawsuit filed against him by Brandon Bill$, the brother of his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, DaniLeigh. After four years of public mudslinging, viral video clips, and endless legal back-and-forth, both sides have chosen to close the book on the courtroom battle before a jury could even get a look at it.

For anyone who needs a quick refresher, the drama kicked off back in February 2022 at Corbin Bowl in L.A. Tensions between DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s family had already been at an all-time high following the couple’s messy, highly publicized breakup. When DaBaby and his entourage crossed paths with Brandon Bill$ (whose real name is Brandon Cruiel), things went left real quick. Footage from the venue’s security cameras showed a chaotic scuffle on the slippery bowling lanes, with DaBaby throwing the first punch before his crew jumped in on the action.

While Azealia Banks shares a controversial take on Karmelo Anthony’s guilty verdict — in the April 2025 Austin Metcalf fatal stabbing — fellow New York rapper Cardi B takes a different stance. As we previously shared earlier today, a White judge read the verdict after an all-White jury deliberated for less than 3 hours.

The jury convicted the Black 19-year-old of first-degree murder, leaving him in tears in the courtroom. Hours later, Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison, eligible for parole in half that time, 17.5 years. He was previously facing a sentence ranging from 5 to 99 years or life in prison. While reacting to the verdict on X, we previously shared how Azealia Banks condemned Anthony as “f***ing guilty” and not at all eligible for self-defense.

Meanwhile, Cardi B took to X and called out the “disgusting” verdict, demanding justice for Anthony. She wrote, “Wow! Just freakin wow! DISGUSTING… This is not justice, this is trying to make an example!!!” She continued to repost a tweet claiming Anthony just saved someone’s life 4 years ago and that his character is being assassinated. Cardi also reposted a tweet calling for justice for Karmelo Anthony and Cyrus Carmack-Belton, the 14-year-old Black boy who was wrongfully accused of stealing a water bottle and shot in the back by gas station owner Rick Chow in a May 2023. Over three years later, Chow was just found not guilty in the fatal shooting last week.
