Such heartbreaking news.
All Lily-Mae wanted to be was a pilot, and was going to stop at nothing to be one.
The amount of young ladies she will have inspired along the way is incalculable.
We were chatting recently about her getting her wings in June and wanting to use her upcoming spare time to coach and mentor more females to prepare for the military to help others achieve what she had done.
In such a painful time and such horrific circumstances, I think people will find solace in the fact that she got to live out her dream and prove so many people wrong.
She will always be the first ever female Royal Navy Commando.
But more importantly she was a lovely person, from a lovely family and she will never be forgotten.
