For days (weeks) I am thinking what to write… How to sum up so many different clubs, teammates, coaches, countries.. I honestly don’t know. What I know is that I am grateful for every single person during this amazing journey. I honestly am not ready for it to be over- but it’s time. Volleyball has given me so so much. I loved every second spent on the court! It was and is always my happy place. The Congress has suffered a major setback in Madhya Pradesh after the nomination of its Rajya Sabha candidate, Meenakshi Natarajan, was rejected during scrutiny over allegations that she failed to disclose details of a pending legal case in her election affidavit.

According to reports, the objection was raised by the BJP, which claimed that Natarajan had not mentioned a case pending against her in Telangana while filing her nomination papers. Election officials reportedly gave her an opportunity to furnish the missing information, but said the required details were not submitted, leading to the rejection of her nomination.

The development has dramatically altered the arithmetic of the Rajya Sabha election in Madhya Pradesh. With the Congress candidate out of the race, the BJP is now poised to secure the seat uncontested, strengthening its position in the Upper House.

Congress leaders have strongly challenged the decision, calling it “blatantly unlawful” and “illegal.” A delegation of senior party leaders met the Election Commission and demanded that the rejection be reversed, arguing that the omission did not justify disqualification.

The party is now exploring legal options and may challenge the decision before the courts if the Election Commission does not intervene. Congress leaders maintain that the rejection is politically motivated and insist that due process was not followed.

The Rajya Sabha elections are scheduled for June 18, and the controversy has triggered a fresh political showdown between the BJP and Congress in Madhya Pradesh.
