After months of planning, building, carrying, digging, sawing, and countless volunteer hours, it’s finally here. 🥳

A new place by the river to pause, meet, watch the water, catch the evening sun, or enjoy a sauna and a cold dip. 🌞🦦💦

A small project with a simple goal: to bring people closer to the river. 🌿

✨ Last night, we rolled out the red carpet for @thebritishasiantrust Annual Dinner and Reception!
 We were deeply honoured by the presence and continued support of His Majesty The King, our Royal Founding Patron @theroyalfamily .

Our incredible supporters gathered to champion our transformative work across South Asia. It was a truly special celebration of community, generosity, and impact.

Britney Spears lost her autonomy for having a breakdown. Janet Jackson lost her career for something that was done to her. Lindsay Lohan was mocked on national television for going to rehab. 🤢

Meanwhile, the men on this list (collectively worth over a billion dollars btw) kept collecting paychecks, Oscar nominations, Marvel contracts, and stadium tours.

The standard has never been the same.

This post was inspired by @ianllightfoot, whose Instagram Reels series on male abusers who never faced what women lose for far less is one of the most necessary things on the internet right now.

Shio Ramen at @menyajoon

Second visit to Menya Joon, was eager to come back after a very good first visit. Tried the standard Shio Ramen this time. The master here is a @menya.sho disciple and the shio is pretty faithful to his roots. I was very impressed with the crisp noodle fold, expert work done by the folks behind the counter. The chashu includes a sous vide style pork and also chicken, both moist and flavorful.

An interesting thing that Korean ramen shops tend to do is they will offer some type of pickled vegetable condiment on the table. Sometimes its kimchi, but it could also gari as was the case this time. I feel like every shop I’ve been to has had some kinda veg side offered, must be a cultural thing. Now that I think about it most Korean dishes tend to come with something on the side too.

For first timers, the niboshi forward “black” shoyu ramen is probably the go to bowl here, a more modern take on the ramen scene. The shio is excellent too tho, lighter and more of a throwback. If that’s what you are looking for you won’t be disappointed. On my first visit there was a bit of a wait during lunch time, but this time I came for dinner around 6pm and was able to walk in with no wait.
