#KarmeloAnthony, now 19, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of #AustinMetcalf, a 17-year-old student-athlete. The incident occurred during a Frisco Independent School District track meet on April 2, 2025.

According to investigators, the two teens, who attended different schools and did not know each other, got into an altercation at Kuykendall Stadium, which led to Anthony allegedly stabbing Metcalf. Metcalf later died at the hospital, and Anthony was subsequently arrested.

In the courtroom, Karmelo Anthony broke down in tears after the guilty verdict was read. His parents then walked out of the courtroom. Judge John Roach Jr. informed Anthony that his bond has been revoked, and he is now remanded into the custody of the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
