TNHT Staff: @YesThatsDee ___________ Neighbors, Latto is finally clearing the air about the Cardi B lyric that had social media talking. ___________ During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the rapper confirmed that a line on her new album about a woman wanting to buy her a designer bag was indeed inspired by her situation with Cardi. However, Latto said the lyric was not meant to be a diss record. ___________ The tension dates back to a leaked phone call involving Cardi B. In the recording, Cardi was confronting people connected to Ice Spice after feeling she had been disrespected online. During the heated conversation, Cardi reportedly referenced Latto multiple times and called her “p**sy,” despite Latto and Ice Spice having already moved past their own issues. “You must think I’m p**sy a** Latto” she could be heard screaming. ___________ According to Latto, the leaked audio caught her completely off guard because she and Cardi were actually on good terms at the time. The rapper explained that she had rushed to the studio while in the early stages of her pregnancy to record a verse for Cardi’s project. Just days later, the leaked call surfaced online. ___________ “I was at an early stage of my pregnancy and I rushed to the studio to do this verse for her first week sales,” Latto said. “Literally like two days later, I’m seeing all over the internet I’m being called p***y.” ___________ Latto admitted the situation hit harder because she considered Cardi a real friend and said the two had been regularly communicating through text messages. While Cardi eventually apologized publicly online, Latto revealed that she did not receive a personal phone call until about two months later. By then, the damage had already been done. ___________ Although Cardi later reached out, Latto said she had already moved on from the situation emotionally and the two have not spoken since.
