While this young woman did plan on turning herself in and dealing with her legal troubles on her own volition, the police are not going to wait for that. Hence they just bursted through her door out of nowhere and placed her under arrest. So sadly for her now she isn't going to jail with dignity, but she will do so barefoot and with her hands tightly cuffed behind her back instead. It makes her feel so humiliated. And to make it even worse, the police are filming all of it to post on their social media. Her getting escorted out of her home in handcuffs, having to let herself get thoroughly frisked, being put in the back of a police car. It is downright dehumanizing. But unfortunately for her she doesn't really have the right to feel sorry for herself. After all, she could have easily avoided all of this by simply obeying the law like everyone else. She is merely being treated like the criminal she is, no matter how much she doesn't want to accept that.

That is because she is charged with the attempted homicide of her ex-husband, which will almost certainly get her incarcerated for decades. For years and years she will be stuck behind bars, confined to a small depressing cellblock every single day. She will yearn for even just a glimpse of the outside world she is locked away from. So while it is utterly humiliating to be helplessly paraded around like this, especially in front of the press, she really should cherish it. But unfortunately for her she was caught and now she has just been sentenced to prison herself. The next five years of her life she will spend behind bars. Every morning she will wake up stuck in a small depressing cell, and every evening she will get locked back up in there again. She will have to follow countless strict rules and obey every single command she is given. Routinely she will have to undergo thorough pat downs and utterly humiliating stripsearches. And every time she gets to leave her cellblock she will have to do so with her hands tightly cuffed behind her back. It is going to be a very miserable experience, but of course she has absolutely no one to blame for it but herself. But fortunately her deception was uncovered and she was exposed to the world for who she really is, a cold blooded killer. And while she did everything she could to draw out her already incredibly lengthy trial and still falsely claims to be innocent, justice has finally been served. She was just sentenced to life without parole. So now here she is, dressed in her hideous jail attire, helplessly locked in cuffs and chains, and on her way to spend every single day of the rest of her life in a cage. This young woman has never been in any kind of trouble with the law before, so naturally she is very anxious about what awaits her here in jail, especially the kind of people she will be stuck with here. She nearly even had a panic attack just now when the staff put her in this holding cell with another inmate, that is because she herself is helplessly chained up while the other inmate isn't wearing any restraints at all. But fortunately for her it turns out she really doesn't need to be afraid of her. The inmate saw she was nervous, and since she is a habitual offender with plenty of lengthy stays behind bars to her name she figured she would calm her down by telling her what to expect and giving her some advice. So now, as she sits here in her cuffs and chains, she listens attentively to what awaits her for the foreseeable future. Of course all of it sounds very unpleasant and even inhumane, but at least she is somewhat prepared for it now. And while it feels quite weird to have this friendly conversation with a hardened inmate, she should really just get used to that. She is no longer an innocent free woman herself after all, she is an inmate as well. And the criminals who she was so afraid of being locked up together with are her peers now.
