More than just a wonderful Dad, you were an inspiration in everything you did.

The son of a NASA rocket scientist, a groovy jazz drummer, a house flipper, Disney Dad, the fun brother, Uncle Boogie 🏄🏽, and the one who taught me - do what you love and dare to dream.

Thank you for loving me and raising me strong and brave, and for never forcing me to do life by the book. I never would have had the courage to chase my dreams of moving to California, pursue a career as a model, start my own company, and take so many chances along the way if it weren’t for you. Those leaps of faith led me to a life filled with blessings I never could have imagined.

I’m so grateful for all the time we got to share this last year. Whether we were having late-night chats on the living room couch, walking on the beach, or running errands, you were always positive, present, calm, loving, and always found a way to laugh.

I’d give anything for more time with you, but I know I’ll see you again one day.

Until then, I’ll continue to honor you the best way I can here on Earth.

my beautiful mum passed away. it feels strange and scary to be sharing this so publicly, but it feels even stranger and scarier to carry on as if this hasn't happened. you can prepare yourself for the worst, but it doesn't make it any easier when it's finally time to say goodbye forever. and it feels so bittersweet to say goodbye to you, because as much as i miss you more than anything and as painful as this is, i know you're at peace and you get to sleep soundly forever.

mum, i inherited my dark sense of humour from you, which is what's going to get me through this every day. i inherited my good taste (in everything) from you - i grew up thinking i had the chicest and coolest mum ever, and i was right. i (thankfully) inherited your cooking skills and whenever i eat anything italian, all i think is how it isn't anywhere near as good as yours (especially your pasta and your tiramisu). i inherited your sense of style and you're the reason why 90% of my wardrobe is black. i also inherited your love for silly reality tv and to think that we'll never again be sat on the sofa giggling at the tv and eating snacks - something so small but something that made us both so happy, just because we were together - makes me and the little girl inside of me so sad. but all i can do is treasure the good memories we have and hold on to them forever, as tightly as i can. i wish you could've truly understood how much everybody in your life loved and continues to love you, and i'm hoping you can feel that love from wherever you are now.

whenever i get a whiff of snow fairy or black orchid, i'll think of you. thank you for being my best friend for so many years of my life and thank you for fighting for as long as you could. i'll still text you good night and that i love you before i go to sleep for as long as i can, and i know that you're somewhere saying it back. i love you endlessly and you'll live inside of me forever, like i lived inside of you. ciao bella ♥️
