Confidently, they put it on during what they thought would be a quiet afternoon of reading. Unfortunately, the neighborhood immediately decided it was the perfect time for lawnmowers, construction drills, and a spontaneous brass band rehearsal directly outside their window.

In possibly an absurd comedy scenario, Amber Heard is taking a peaceful walk through a park when she spots what appears to be a perfectly ordinary poo log lying beside a trail. For reasons she can’t explain, she becomes convinced the log is suspicious. It just seems *too* log-like. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, she spends half an hour examining it from every angle while confused joggers pass by.Finally, a local dog runs over, grabs the “log,” and trots away with it. That’s when the truth is revealed: it wasn’t a log at all—it was a novelty dog treat shaped exactly like a piece of wood. Amber stands there in disbelief as the dog’s owner cheerfully explains that it’s basically a giant chocolate-bar-looking snack made specifically for dogs. After dedicating an entire amateur investigation to the object, Amber can only shake her head and laugh. Meanwhile, the dog looks extremely proud of itself, as though it had masterminded the whole misunderstanding from the very beginning.

In a tiny townhouse somehow occupied by twelve completely different people from every imaginable background, culture, profession, and personality type, one rule reigns supreme: the only food allowed is string cheese. Nobody knows who made the rule, and nobody has the authority to change it. The refrigerator contains nothing but string cheese. The pantry contains emergency string cheese. There’s even a decorative bowl of string cheese in the living room for guests. At first everyone complains, but after a few weeks they begin discussing string cheese with the seriousness of fine dining critics. “Ah yes,” one resident says thoughtfully, “I detect subtle notes of... more string cheese.”The real challenge, however, is space. The townhouse is so crowded that residents constantly have to check whether there’s enough room on each other’s shoulders before squeezing past. Entire conversations begin with, “Excuse me, is your shoulder accepting visitors?” Over time, an elaborate shoulder-sharing etiquette develops, complete with waiting lists and reservations. Despite the chaos, everyone gets along surprisingly well. They celebrate birthdays with string cheese cakes, hold town meetings in the hallway, and occasionally forget whose shoulder they’re standing next to. Somehow, against all odds, the strangest little community in history thrives on dairy products, cooperation, and a complete disregard for personal space.

A person was daydreaming so intensely that they accidentally convinced themselves they were receiving life advice from David Bowie. In the dream, Bowie appeared in a perfectly ordinary grocery store aisle and spoke in mysterious riddles that sounded profound but were mostly about produce placement. Nearby, a lone Q-tip sat in a shopping cart like it was an important member of the conversation, nodding silently whenever apples were mentioned.The dreamer awoke with exactly one takeaway from the entire experience: apples. Not a balanced diet, not wisdom, not self-discovery—just apples. Convinced this was their destiny, they spent the rest of their life enthusiastically eating apples at breakfast, lunch, dinner, holidays, weddings, and sporting events. Whenever anyone asked why, they would point toward a random Q-tip and say, “It all makes sense if you were there.” The Q-tip, meanwhile, continued its distinguished career of explaining absolutely nothing while somehow remaining central to the story.
