Ibrahim had the sweetest time with the talented kids at @surtaalmusicacademyofficial! A small studio with an enormous heart, and proof of how much talent in our country is still waiting to be discovered. Different abilities, one rhythm, endless joy! ❤️
Australian rugby league star Jaime Chapman has become an unexpected viral sensation after photos from the 2024 Dally M Awards resurfaced across social media. A post featuring Chapman in a black lace gown was shared on X on October 7, 2026, and climbed to nearly six million views within roughly two days. The attention introduced a much wider audience to an already accomplished player. Chapman, 24, plays centre for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRLW and finished the 2026 regular season with nine tries in 11 appearances while averaging 131 running metres per game. She has also represented New South Wales and Australia, scoring three tries in her Jillaroos debut at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup. Chapman was also named to the NRLW Community Team of the Year in 2026 and became a finalist for the Veronica White Medal for her work supporting communities across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers. The viral photos may have introduced millions of people to Chapman, but her résumé already includes an NRLW career, State of Origin appearances and a Rugby League World Cup championship with Australia. @jaime.chapman (Source: NRL, Gold Coast Titans, BILD)
Across the world, certain communities have developed extraordinary physical traits that reflect generations of living in some of Earth’s most challenging environments. In Southeast Asia, the Bajau are known for their exceptional diving abilities, with research identifying enlarged spleens that help support prolonged breath holding. On the Tibetan Plateau, inherited genetic variations allow people to cope with thin mountain air. Meanwhile, Bolivia’s Tsimane population has attracted scientific attention for remarkably low levels of coronary artery disease. Other fascinating examples include the underwater eyesight of the Moken people, the remarkable distance running achievements of Kenyan athletes, and the ability of Himalayan Sherpas to perform demanding physical work at extreme elevations. Together, these differences offer a fascinating look at how human biology, inherited traits, lifestyle, and local conditions interact across generations.
