Video captured a few minutes ago on our porch in #Yosemite West. If you want to make friends with #Ravens, you've gotta give them what they like... Not a whole lot different than humans. #CorvusCorax raids nests for #eggs and baby #chicks in the #wild. I know some people think feeding #wildlife is wrong but I get lonely sometimes and love the idea of befriending wild #creatures if only through bribery... Plus, I'm a wild creature myself and I'm only inviting a #neighbor over for #breakfast... "How would you like your #egg Mr. Raven? Sunny side up or raw? Or would you like the #Benedict?" Seriously though, it''s interesting to watch a #Raven eat an extra-large-chicken-egg... Being careful not to drop the egg from their perch, they position it upright, then pierce a small hole in the top of the hard shell and suck out the inners completely with their very long red tongue, leaving a perfectly clean hollowed out shell behind. #BlackBird #FlyFee. Oh yeah, that's my hair next to the egg... I just cut it off and hope the Raven takes it and weaves it into its nest. #voodoo #shaman #pagan #nature #strangebird
