HYROX BIRMINGHAM 💪🏼💚 What a day, what an experience! Im SO proud of us! I haven’t pushed myself like that for a long long time! Run total 8k - 38 mins 19 secs is phenomenal in itself for me because I’m not the strongest runner! First girls in our category and 1 hour 10, 12 seconds 👏🏼💪🏼 unreal! Absolutely gutted we got disqualified, when you’re blowing out your arse and so focused it’s easy to make a mistake and we’ve got to take it on the chin. When you’ve trained so hard for something and gave it everything you have on the day it’s really disheartening but thankfully we didn’t find out until after else I defo would have spat my dummy out before we finished. We added time on for ourselves on the sled pull because we thought we were done and we weren’t so we had to run back and do one last length which was fine but we wasted time. But then we thought farmers carry was the same as burpees and lunges but it wasn’t it’s 2 laps so we missed 1 lap of farmers carry which resulted in a disqualification 😣💔! Time wise it wouldn’t have made much difference and that’s what we went for! It’s the fastest we’ve ever done it, the best we’ve ever performed and I’m proud of keeping up with my pocket rocket setting the running pace 💪🏼 If I can take anything from my first comp it’s to be a bit better connected with what’s going on so I don’t make any mistakes again but we live & learn 💚 We had a fantastic day, our husbands and children were there cheering us on and we’ve raised a great amount of money for @macmillancancer 💚 Thankyou to everyone who donated and supported us. Onto the next 🔥
