China’s years-long splurge on bridges, tunnels, expressways, high-speed rail and airports is beginning to tail off. Questions are likely to grow about whether it was all worthwhile.

The humanitarian cost has been enormous: millions have been turfed off their land to make way for roads, railways, airports and other such projects—often without their consent and sometimes with little compensation.

The country has grown far richer, and praise for the transport network, at home and abroad, is often effusive.

But weighing up the benefits of transport infrastructure is difficult anywhere. Tap the link in our bio to read why some experts argue that China has invested far more than necessary.

Terrifying times. I can’t actually believe this is our fucking timeline.
Authoritarianism run amok.
Over in the UK Andy Burnham and his cronies are a bunch of spineless frauds. Saying one thing and doing another whilst arresting our poor old OG’s for TERRORISM because they are protesting a genocide.
I am never going to vote Labour again.
Meanwhile the Trump administration is frothing at the mouth and punishing the American people with all kinds of cruelties and crack downs. They want to inject US troops with testosterone, rob you of medical coverage and nuke Iran.
It is so abominable I have no fucking words left.
This madness has to end.
We really don’t need to be living like this.
That’s what bothers me the most.
The idiots in charge have made all our lives miserable except for their own.
And they are all supposed to be working for the people.
Instead they are all simply stealing from the people and seizing more power .
What are we doing here?!?
Fucking HELL it is utterly MADDENING.
Go out and vote like your beautiful, joyful, loving life depends on it.
Because it does.

After 3.5 years of losing and keeping trading a secret to making money, the conversation went better in my head but I thought I was gonna get deported back to Pakistan ngl 😂😂

If we haven’t met yet, hiiiii I’m Maryyam — I used to sit in a windowless cubicle at 22 making someone else rich. Now I trade full-time from my phone, on my own schedule.

And no — trading isn’t just for finance bros in suits. The YBI fam are regular people who had zero experience and are now building real skills and confidence with it.

As a member of the YBI fam you:
👉 don’t need a finance degree (just a phone and wifi)
👉 don’t need to quit your job to start (learn while you earn)
👉 don’t need thousands to begin (we start small and scale)
