📷 AFP via Getty Images
HU Staff: Ariela Anís @ari.anis Congratulations! Democrat Xavier Becerra has not only defeated Republican Steve Hilton to win California’s gubernatorial race, but he’s also made history, becoming the states’ first elected Latino Governor. Becerra is Mexican American. ___________________________________________________ On Tuesday evening (November 3), news outlets reported Becerra’s projected historic win. The feat sees Democrats maintaining control of the nation’s largest state with Becerra succeeding Gavin Newsom. Becerra defeated Hilton, who is a Republican and former Fox News host was endorsed by President Donald Trump. ___________________________________________________ While reacting to the huge historic win, Becerra told a crowd at his watch party, “What a great night to be a Californian. What a great night to be an American, to be the son of immigrants, from a Union household.” The audience erupted in chants of “¡Sí se puede!” On X, Becerra wrote, “We did it, California. Thank you. I’m honored to be your next Governor, and I’ll fight for every family in this state, every single day. Let’s get to work.” In another X post, he wrote, “Now the real work begins. Thank you and Gracias, California.” ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bio for full story 📸 CNN
Ferrari Civil War. ——— The internal intra-team rivalry at Scuderia Ferrari erupted dramatically at the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix, where polesitter Lewis Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc clashed on the very first lap. Battling fiercely into Turn 4, Leclerc lunged around the outside, causing both cars to run wide; Leclerc cut across the grass to take the lead, while Hamilton lost momentum and dropped behind Max Verstappen. Though the stewards issued a five-second penalty to Leclerc for gaining an advantage off-track, the resulting fragmentation cost Ferrari a potential 1-2 finish and essentially handed the race victory to Verstappen. Tensions simmered throughout the afternoon, and despite a late-race red flag restart where Hamilton successfully overtook Leclerc to salvage a second-place finish, an irritated Hamilton publicly called for “serious talks” behind the scenes regarding their racing rules. #formula1 #f1memes #scuderiaferrari #charlesleclerc #lewishamilton

Hey, it’s Maxime (Flub), the founder of tern. Damn, tomorrow is a big day for me. I’m so happy it’s finally happening. I’ve been working on tern for years, and releasing a collection in collaboration with Wikipedia is something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Behind tern there’s just a small team with some cool, creative ideas. For me, there will be a before and an after. Why Wikipedia? I just found it so cool. Such a strong visual identity, there had to be a way to make cool clothes out of it. We made the best clothes we possibly could. We made a lamp. Like, that’s crazy. I can’t wait for these clothes to live, to be worn, and for people to love these creations as much as we do.
