Take me back to winter wonderland ❄️ I can’t stop going through my pictures and videos. It still feels like a dream!! @travelwithtjd I can’t stop saying thank you for the Queen and the king in the north ☃️ Reindeer Sledding ✅ here is a interesting fact about reindeers: their antlers grow like nails. The antlers are made of bone that is coveted by a furry skin called velvet and they have blood vessels that provides oxygen to grow the bones. The antlers grow up to an inch a day!!! When the antlers are fully grown they shed the velvety skin to reveal the bone beneath. The antlers are grown for the mating season and male reindeer shed their antlers when mating season is over. The antlers shows the maturity and the strength of a male reindeer and they used by male bulls to fight during breeding season. Female reindeer sheds her antlers after her baby is born it makes it easy for her to take of the baby. Females keep their antlers during pregnancy to use them for self defense #reindeer #laplandfinland #winterwonderland
