THE JOURNEY OF A RECORD-BREAKING EXPLORER. 🌍 2010: At 19 years old, I packed my bags and started travelling the world. 2010: Learning survival skills alongside a Burmese hill tribe. 2011: Working as a scuba diving instructor in Thailand. 2012: Training and fighting Muay Thai in Thailand. 2013: Preparing for my first world-record expedition. 2014: Became the first person to walk across Mongolia solo and unsupported. 1,500 miles in 78 days. 2015: Broke. Rejected. But already planning the next adventure. 2016: Became the first person to traverse the entire length of Madagascar. 1,600 miles in 155 days. 2017: Still broke. Rejected by TV networks, brands and speaking opportunities. But I kept going. 2018: Training for what would become my toughest expedition yet. 2019: Became the first person to walk the entire 4,000-mile length of China’s Yangtze River. 352 days. 2019: Invited onto The Joe Rogan Experience. 2020: Walking the Yangtze premiered on National Geographic. 2022: Secured a multimillion-dollar TV series, The Great Wall with Ash Dykes. 2023: Planning another world-first expedition. 2024: Became part of the first team to travel the Coppename River in Suriname from source to sea. 2025: Uncharted Amazon with Ash Dykes launched on Discovery Channel. 2025: Secured an international TV series following China’s Yellow River by land, air and water. 2026: Launched PROJECT 6. My biggest independent project yet. Six expeditions, six locations, taking you along for every moment! EXPEDITION 1 COMPLETE! 🛶 800km kayaking through the Congo Basin along the Sangha River in just 18 days! 1 DOWN. 5 TO GO. 🌍🔥 Looking back, the biggest lesson I’ve learnt is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built through years of rejection, setbacks, sacrifices and showing up when nobody is watching. Keep going. You never know where the journey might take you.
