Hajj Abdullah Ayoub, 77, is a man who devoted his life to education, shaping generations of students and teaching in many countries around the world.

Hajj Abdullah appeared in a video waiting in line for food at a community kitchen in the Gaza Strip, in a scene that captures the scale of the suffering endured by our people in Gaza.

He lives with his wife, his daughter, whose husband was killed, and his daughter-in-law, whose husband was also killed. Both women have lost their husbands in this war.

This great man, who was once a beacon of knowledge and education, now stands in a food line after losing everything he owned, struggling to survive amid the harsh humanitarian conditions facing the people of Gaza.

What kind of pain is this, when a man who once educated generations must now stand in line, waiting for a morsel of food to ease his hunger?⁩⁩⁩
