B L U E | I think this has been the most tricky bathroom I’ve ever designed. I was originally planning blue & white stripes in here as it’s the bunk room bathroom but I’ve decided I want to keep it a bit more mid-century feeling. I’ve been all around the houses with the blue tiles though. I nearly gave up on them but some of these images have convinced me to keep going with them. I think with blue one just has to be very careful it doesn’t end up looking clinical by introducing wood, art, softness and another colour such as red. I think I’m second-guessing everything as there’s so much hanging on the design of the whole of Vipers Quay. It’s not been touched properly since the 1990s and I’m now responsible for the house’s design on behalf of my entire extended family, which im loving, but I’m also feeling the weight of that responsibility. I’m off to the house (it’s in Devon) on Tuesday along with some of my cousins to strip as much out as possible ahead of the builders starting on the 9th. We’re trying to save a bit of money by DIYing this bit as we’re on a tight budget. It’s real and it’s happening and I’m piling the pressure on myself to sort out the final design decisions. I’ll keep you posted on where I end up with this room and all the others. Keep coming back and watching if you’d like to see how this bathroom and the whole house unfold over the next few months. I hope you enjoy the transformation of this incredible house as much as me! #bathroomdesıgn #bathroomdesignideas #bluebathroom Bathrooms / images by (in no particular order) @uns.hobbs_interiors @winckelmans.1894 @workbyhowl @studio.sonny_ @amandanasturas @keepontilingvic @harford_house @_studio.shields
