🎥: Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation | (2015) | Action/Thriller | Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt This brutal pole-climb sequence is one of the most talked-about practical stunts in the Mission: Impossible franchise. At 52 years old, Tom Cruise climbed a vertical pole while handcuffed, relying entirely on his own physical strength without a stunt double or CGI. He trained for months in Chinese pole technique to build the extreme core and grip strength needed to pull off the escape, since his feet were shackled together and he had to muscle his way up and off the top of the pole. The scene is part of the film's unforgettable Vienna Opera House set piece, often cited among the franchise's best action sequences. Rogue Nation marked Cruise's fifth outing as Ethan Hunt, and he continued the series tradition of insisting on doing jaw-dropping stunts himself, from clinging to the side of a taking-off plane to holding his breath underwater for a six-minute unbroken shot. Costar Rebecca Ferguson has called him the stunt king of the franchise for good reason. #TomCruise #MissionImpossible #Reels #Explore #ForYourPage
