Allah (SWT) says "do not be sad" 9 times in the Qur'an.
Look at who He said it to.

A mother placing her newborn in a river. (28:7)
Maryam, alone in labour beneath a palm tree. (19:24)
The Prophet (PBUH) in the cave with Abu Bakr, enemies standing at the entrance. (9:40)
The Prophet (PBUH) again, grieving over the people who turned away from him. (16:127)
The believers after Uhud, wounded and mourning. (3:139)

These are the strongest people in our history, and every one of them felt sad.
Not once does the Qur'an blame them for it.

Every time, the words come with something from Him. The mother is promised her son back. Water runs at Maryam's feet. Sakinah descends in the cave.

Your sadness is not proof that your iman is failing. In the Qur'an, it is the very moment Allah chose to speak.

I Am Supporting Peter Obi Strictly Because He Is Igbo. Not because I hear the intelligence coming out of his mouth — Rapper SpeedDarlington

Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has declared his intention to support Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election, stating that his decision is based strictly on tribal affiliation rather than the former Anambra State governor’s intelligence.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, the singer said:

“I am going to support Peter obi for president. Not because I see or hear the intelligence coming out of his mouth. I am supporting peter obi strictly because of tribe, because he is igbo”

He also questioned the achievements of other presidential hopefuls, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, while expressing reservations about having another Fulani president.

“The devil you know is better than the devil you don’t know. Atiku and amaechi has been state men for years, what did they accomplish?. Who even wants a Fulani president?”

Speed Darlington further criticised Nigerian politicians for continuing to use road infrastructure as a campaign talking point, describing it as embarrassing that such promises remain relevant in 2026.

“Shame on all Nigerian politicians for still using road to campaign. It a big shame in 2026”

They say the arrow that travels the furthest is the one that was pulled back the most. 🎯

What an incredible event, an incredible team and an even more incredible outcome for us all.

They can’t stop what God has already planned. No one can.

I want to take a moment to thank @emetej for believing in @premiertouringau and trusting us to be their primary partner for this show. We have a long road ahead of us, and I genuinely believe it’s one filled with success.

It has taken a long time to find the right people to build with, and I’m incredibly proud to say that Emete Entertainment and Premier Touring are in this together for the long run.

This partnership has become so much more than business and success. Somewhere along the way, we became family, and that means more to me than words can explain.

A special shoutout to @joannymusic for also believing in me❤️

To everyone who played a part in making this happen, from the people behind the scenes to everyone who showed up and supported us, I cannot express my gratitude enough.

You have helped a little Afghan kid who arrived in Australia without knowing a single word of English turn his dreams into reality in a BIG way. I hope this serves as a reminder that where you come from does not determine where you can go.

To Polo G and his entire team, thank you for being an absolute pleasure to work with. Amazing people, genuine people, and a team we won’t forget.

P.S. No matter what life throws at you, never give up. Every dawg has his day. ❤️

…you let yourself be seen.

Normally you’ll find me in sweats 😅 So getting dressed up for a gala in a bright red dress?

Waaaayyy outside my comfort zone. 😳

Here’s what I’m learning in this new chapter of my life:

Coming back to dance has been one permission slip after another.

1. Permission to get back in the room.

2. Permission to get uncomfortable learning new things.

3. Permission to feel confident in my own skin.

4. Permission to play life full out.

5. And now… permission to let myself BE SEEN.

Every time I give myself a little more permission, dance changes how I see myself, what I’m capable of, and what’s possible for me… AND new paid opportunities are starting to show up too. 💵

And when we do new and uncomfortable things, it’s always more fun with someone by your side.

Thank you @jeanniefit for saying yes to this with me 🙏🏽

That’s exactly why I created the DANCE Collective: a place where we use dance to explore bigger, more confident, more FREE versions of ourselves… and get seen, heard, and felt out in the world in whatever way we choose. 🏆🏆🏆

Comment “COLLECTIVE” and I’ll send you the link to join us every Friday at the founding members’ rate of $55 a month, yours for as long as you stay. Rates go up on December 1st. 💫
