This past week delivered some unreal goals! 🚨 Goals of the Week presented by @norwegiancruiseline
Election Day is here, and history shows just how dramatically the balance of power in Washington can shift in a single night. Midterm elections have repeatedly delivered major shakeups in Congress, often shifting power away from the party occupying the White House. Republicans flipped both chambers under Bill Clinton in 1994, Democrats did the same under George W. Bush in 2006, and Republicans took back the House during Barack Obama's presidency in 2010. More recently, Democrats captured the House during Trump's first term in 2018, while Republicans regained control under Biden in 2022. Stream full coverage of the 2026 midterm elections on FOX One.
Tim Direktorat Siber Bareskrim Polri serta Divisi Profesi dan Pengamanan Polri menjemput Kepala Divisi Hukum Polri Inspektur Jenderal Ahrie Sonta dan beberapa jenderal bintang dua lainnya serta perwira menengah berpangkat komisaris besar pada beberapa hari lalu. Ahrie kini menjalani penempatan khusus di Markas Komando Brigade Mobil Polri. Direktur Siber Bareskrim Polri Brigadir Jenderal Suhermanto belum berkenan membeberkan detail konstruksi perkaranya. “Nanti Kadiv Humas yang akan menyampaikan,” ujar Suhermanto melalui pesan singkat pada 3 November 2026. Kadiv Humas merujuk ke Kepala Divisi Hubungan Masyarakat Polri Inspektur Jenderal Johnny Eddizon Isir. Baca selengkapnya di tempo.co dan link in bio. #tempodotco #TNews #Hukrim #TUpdate #Polri
couldn’t wait to post on actual pocky day since i’ll be traveling but hopefully 11/1 is okay!
How do you know who you actually are? ‘Stay true to yourself.’ ‘Be authentic.’ ‘You do you.’ But how do you actually know who that ‘you’ is? Well, the ancient Greek philosopher Plotinus might give us a solution, because Plotinus is famous for giving us what’s called the ‘negative way,’ or the ‘via negativa.’ And this says that if you want to find or understand something, you should subtract all of the things that are not that thing. So, for example, if you want to decide what to wear for work, you should subtract all of the things that you don’t want to wear. And the thing that you have left, ideally, is the thing that you have to wear. So Plotinus asks us to imagine our authentic self as like a statue contained within a block of marble. And the art of finding that statue is about chipping away all of those things you don’t care about. Chip away the things you do for money or for praise, or because you have to. Chip away the chores, the jobs, and the responsibilities. What you are left with is your authentic being, and if you do more of that, you will thrive. In other words, you need to reduce. Cut out all of the impositions and pressures in life. Cut out all of the have-tos and must-dos. Cut out all of the things that you don’t actually want to do, because what you have left will be you.
