Really pleased with this design, but to be honest I have no idea how successfully it will fire as it’s a new slip that I haven’t tried on a vertical surface before… fingers crossed it won’t move too much and that all that careful carving will remain nice and sharp. The branches depicted are of larch trees in winter, photographed in the woodlands of Cumbria, and the vase itself is assembled from two large thrown pieces with a thrown neck and extruded handles #stonewarevase #amphora #wintertrees #ceramicdesign #sgraffitopottery #larchtree @tam_ceramics_london @skylark_galleries_london @london.potters @potfest.co.uk @craftpotters @craftscouncil @memoryofjane thanks for the music xx

Honestly, I really loved it at the single carved outline stage where the grey slip wasn’t carved away! That said, I think you did a fantastic job of depicting those larches! The farm I live on is called Larchill and I love the way the branches look in the winter! Inspiring!
