Teeth whitening also known as bleaching, is a process which involves bleaching your teeth to make them lighter. It can't make your teeth brilliant white, but it can lighten the existing colour by several shades.
The active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. The free radicals penetrate enamel(tooth outer white layer) and breakdown large coloured molecules into smaller ones hence making your teeth lighter in colour.
