October is a month Iโ€™ll look back on with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. This month has brought joy and pain, some physical for me (Maggie in the marsh and oyster cuts as a result, massive burns from stupid curling irons and leash tangles causing wrist tears) and some emotional (standing over my mom watching her body try to fight a 105.6 fever is something that will haunt me until the day that I die). But, we lived to see November. We literally thrived and then just survived this month. And the longer Iโ€™m on this earth the more that I find Iโ€™m a student of that rhythm. We all are. If Iโ€™ve learned nothing else, and if I could pass on only one lesson from these 46 years on the planet, let it be this. No matter how good youโ€™ve got it or how bad your life feels right now, nothing lasts forever. It never gets easier and stays easier. Happiness is truly found in navigating both periods of your life with grace, as much grace as you can muster, for yourself and those around you. Thatโ€™s something Iโ€™m still working on. And, to be completely honest, Iโ€™m crap at it but Iโ€™m trying. This was Octoberโ€ฆ (Never been happier to hear Mariah Carey at midnight on November 1st).
Not my typical Sunday Funday, but definitely my favorite. Beyond blessed and grateful to have had my amazing people cheering me on every step of the way- I truly couldnโ€™t have done it without them. New York you were a dream <3
The crooked boots at the end are a nice touch, do you agree? Anyway, post-grandson post-Italy post-summer color refresh was just what I needed today! Thank you Amber ๐Ÿ˜€ My roots were quite desperate.
