5 things this year taught me:
- life is full of processes. god will never make you wait for no reason, trust his timing and don’t rush the process. live in the moment, take it in and focus on what you can control. be patient, the best things in life take time. life is short so go after what you want and don’t have any shame in it.
- don’t rely on other people or things for your happiness. you are responsible for your happiness, don’t let anyone hold that much power over you. if they don’t call, go to sleep. if they don’t message you back, put away your phone and have a great day. be your own person and don’t live to impress others. if it makes you happy go for it, it doesn’t have to make sense to others. don’t be a people pleaser, say exactly what you mean. be selfish, make people understand it’s a privilege to be in your life.
- life changes. you’re going to loose friends you’re going to loose love you’re going to loose relationships but what’s meant for you will always be there for you. don’t try and force something or settle because you’re too impatient to wait for the best. new people will come new love will come new relationships will come, so don’t give up! remember that better days are coming and it’s up to you to accept the joy those days will bring:)
- there is so much life ahead. you still have so many years to meet so many people that will love you. more “firsts” to experience. you haven’t seen it all or felt it all yet. don’t be afraid of change, be excited! you will never know if something is for you unless you give it a chance, so find the courage to take the chance and don’t hold back.
- be the reason someone believes in good people. see the humanness in others with kindness instead of judgement. you have no idea what someone is going through, your kindness may serve as the lifeline someone needs. even if it may seem like a small gesture to you it could be the biggest gesture to someone else. be the reason someone feels seen and heard. be the reason someone feels valued and loved. just be kind!
