A new « vision » for digital objects
We are entering the era of virtual transformation and, like any true revolution, it will bring about profound changes from various perspectives, especially in the economic and social spheres.
Virtual transformation builds on the main features of digital transformation, but also differs from it.
While the principle of digitalisation revolves around replicability and manipulation, virtual transformation shifts the focus to two defining concepts: Uniqueness and originality of digital objects.
With this project, Dslcollection doesn’t take a conventional approach and aims to create new tools to transform a mere image of an object into a new digital twin that can be preserved and used in a timely and timeless manner.
It’s a paradigm shift that allows, for example, all the works and installations created for biennials or exhibitions to become contemporary and timeless.
Today, more than ever, we are challenged to answer the question of what value new technologies bring, rather than to define what they mean. With this project, the DSLCollection highlights the transformative potential of art connoisseurship in this metaverse age, and how to benefit from the tangible and then the intangible as the next frontier.

“Reflecting on Sylvain Levy’s insights, it’s fascinating to observe this transformation process. As an external observer, it’s incredible to see Wang Du’s sculpture evolve into a digital format, highlighting the intricate interplay between art and technology. This project not only showcases innovative prowess but also the vast potential within the realm of digital art.”
