This year was rough. Silver linings tho, I met the most amazing set of people who answered the phone no matter how late it was. I finally let go and did things for me. I realized that I was a good mother. I regained my confidence professionally and personally. I have no idea what 24 brings, but I can’t wait✨

A 19-year-old Navy airman had been aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln for 255 grueling days.
As the war with Iran raged, he was working 12-hour shifts in the blazing sun. He had missed the birth of his daughter. Food on the aircraft carrier was in short supply.

On a Monday in early August, he reached his breaking point and leapt from the ship’s edge, plunging 67 feet into the Arabian Sea, according to records reviewed by The New York Times. He was rescued by a helicopter crew and returned to the ship.

Last week, the Navy effectively fired him — moving to discharge the sailor after accusing him of “malingering,” or faking a mental health crisis to end his deployment, according to his wife.
