It’s been a journey. I went from building a shared life with someone to building a solo life. I remember coming home to an empty apartment, and feeling a cold, empty void where I used to feel warmth. Days like today where I’d spend the entire day inside used to scare me; in how they forced me to confront the silence and echos of starting over. It’s been a while.. but today I felt at peace, and at home.
