I believe in a small government that still makes a huge impact and that the future should always be better than the past!!

Over the summer I hosted @annieandrewsmd in my backyard and we talked a lot about freedom, the role of government, and how loving one’s country should be a lot more like the experience of loving a child.

This week South Carolina has the opportunity to make history and elect its first female senator AND the first pediatrician ever to the US Senate. What I love most about Dr. Annie is that her North Star always has and always will be our children and future they’ll inherit from us.

This election isn’t about right or left; it’s about right or wrong!! Should people have access to healthcare? Should work provide a livable wage? Should the needs of humanity take precedence over data centers? Should women have autonomy? Should all communities have access to real, healthy food? Should America be honest about its dark history while taking pride in its underlying promise?

If you answered YES to any of those questions then there’s only one option in this senate race!!!! I hope you’ll exercise the right soooo many people fought for this Election Day and VOTE Dr. Andrews for US Senate! 🇺🇸

It's always a good idea to have a healthy skepticism for science-based fitness. But that is especially true when they are telling you that there is no difference between two things or no advantage to one thing over another because the tools they most commonly use are explicitly not designed to draw the conclusion that there's no difference between two things.

Now if they tell us that something does make a difference when the bros don't think it does, then id at least want to hear the argument, because at least that's something their experiments should in theory provide evidence for. But when the bro consensus say something matters and the science guys says it doesn't you can safely disregard them.

Why does a calorie surplus help intermediate and advanced lifters build muscle? I have no idea, mechanistically, and that's what trips up the science guys, there's no mechanistic reason why the body couldn't use stored energy and still build muscle at maintainence.

But if we look at it from an evolutionarily perspective, what problem was the body's increasing resistance to adding muscle designed to solve it becomes obvious. Its designed to balance the demands of the environment for strength with not becoming to energy hungry. What's the best way to shift that calculus? Show there's plenty of food available by eating!

we’re all thinking the exact same thing… take me home (4 christmas) is about to change lives on thursday 🙂‍↕️
