My best friend, my lifeline, my constant, my soulmate… my guardian angel-
No one prepared me for the girl I would meet in college. The girl that would become closer than a sister. The kind of friend that refreshes your soul and breathes life into you. No one could have prepared me for my Molly.
Your love was a luxury. An answer to a prayer I never prayed. You carried my burdens, praised my excitement, and nurtured my smiles. You brought so much light into my world. You were my home, my safety net; truly my person. You taught me what it was to love fully, deeply, and unconditionally. A love like never before. We long lost count of the nights and days we spent together. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to have just to have 5 more minutes with you. No thank you will ever equate for the person you have made me and for all you’ve done for me. You taught me so much in our time together. I will forever hold on to the fact that you were the first person to teach me to dance. It was to Friendship by Chris Stapleton. You were the first person to ever buy me flowers. You surprised me with them, showing up to my apartment with the biggest smile on your face. The person I knew I could always turn to no matter the circumstance. You were genuine, soft, and kind. You taught me what it was to put others first. What it meant to be someone’s sunshine. There is so much I could say but nothing that would ever amount to the person that you were. Your time was way too short but your love was strong and deep, something I’ll hold so deep in my heart with no chance of escape.
I cannot begin to put into words how much I love you, how much I cherish our friendship, or how heartbroken I am right now. But I do know how grateful I am to have experienced your presence, authenticity, and your graciousness. I’ve never needed you as much as I do right now, but I know you’re in a much better place.
I promise I won’t ever stop saying your name. I love you forever, Molls. Mean it.
