I make plans for the day then I watch them fade away as I try to talk my friend off of the edge

Haven’t spoken in a while but like mine his life is wild I let him stay the night so he could rest his head

Try’s to make me believe this life no more than misery
Now he don’t want to leave
starts going round messing with my peace

Brings nothing more than stress

It’s the middle of the night and he wakes up in a fright says the nightmares in his dreams have come alive
he won’t let me go to sleep says his heart keeps skipping beats
and the very same thing might happen to mine

He pulls me away from all my friends and my family
It’s been months since the day I let him in for that one night stay
