It feels like a lifetime ago, but it was only 3 years ago when it seemed like everything was falling apart. In the same year, I went through a divorce, packed my life in Dubai into boxes and traded my home for a storage unit. I unexpectedly had to shut down the company I co-founded and spent several years building, and nearly went bankrupt taking legal action against the business partner who caused it. That same year, I struggled through 4 rounds of egg freezing in a foreign country, and had also entered a relationship that was slowly breaking me down (which I eventually began to understand was abusive). I was severely burned out, my nervous system was in shambles, I had hit financial rock bottom, I was living out of a suitcase with an abusive partner and no support system, and I had no idea where I was going next with a career I had poured my whole self into. But what I didn’t know at the time was that life was paving a new road for me. Everything had to burn down before I could see that it was making room for something better. What came with the re-build was far more meant for me. Far more purposeful. Far more aligned. And gave me freedom and fulfillment I could only have dreamed of in that past life. The unfamiliar is so fucking scary. But trust it. Life guides you towards what is meant for you if you just allow it 💛 #trusttheuniverse #trusttheprocess #startingover #rebuild #divorce
NEW: Voters in four states delivered split results on abortion rights ballot measures during Tuesday's midterm elections. Idaho voters rejected a proposal to establish a legal right to abortion up to fetal viability, while Missouri voters voted down an amendment that would have removed constitutional abortion protections and reinstated restrictions. Meanwhile, Nevada and Virginia voters approved measures adding abortion and reproductive freedom protections to their state constitutions.
