Big road trip video going live on HG later, as you join me in the Jaguar Project 7 on a drive through Italy and then on to Greece. We kick off close to Florence, drop by Ferruccio Lamborghini’s farm for lunch and then on to Gran Sasso where 22 years ago to the day I did a story in @officialevomagazine on taking two Zondas to this little known area of Italy.
From there we continue to head south and after a few days touring Puglia, take a ferry to Greece and then on to Athens.
In total, it was 1,100 amazing miles and hugely enjoyable. I’ve included more details on where we stayed along the way and how I go about planning road trips like this one, as I often get asked about this in the comments.
The slight downside is the video has ended up being 52mins long but I’m keen to see if adding more what could be termed ‘lifestyle’ content is what viewers want to see.
Video is set to go live at 5pm tonight..

I first saw the Speedmaster Silver Snoopy in 2022 and was immediately charmed by its whimsical design. The unique animated caseback, and the story of its connection to NASA’s award for contributions to safety made for a Speedmaster unlike any before it.

I immediately reached out to put my name down at the @omega boutique. Of purse I was l told that given the limited production, it would probably be a few years.

After 4 years (to the month) my name finally came up and I got a very exciting call last week!

I’ve struggled with the “standard” black Speedy. I’ve bought and sold a couple of them. They never stuck because I always wanted a more “unusual” Speedmaster. Well the speedy-shaped hole in my collection has finally been filled!

Big thanks to C at the Vancouver @omega boutique for making this happen!
