Børsen is a building on Slotsholmen in Copenhagen💔. It was built in the 1620s as a commercial building by Christian IV and functioned as a commodity exchange right up until the 19th century. Until 1974, the building housed the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The stock exchange is considered one of the finest examples of the Dutch Renaissance in Denmark.

Today, 16 April 2024 at 07:36, Hovedstadens Beredskab was dispatched to the Stock Exchange, which was on fire. The building’s spire fell at 8:32, and soon after it was announced that the painting From the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by P.S. Krøyer, was rescued from the building. Shortly after the fire started, the police cordoned off the surrounding area 💔
