Seasons ending and bananas 🍌 past their prime can only mean one thing: gourmet snack time! We’re entering the final countdown of our Funky Bunky journey for the season. I’m not ready to quit just yet, but Mother Nature says it’s time! CHOCOLATE BANANA CAKE (adapted from prettysimplesweet.com) INGREDIENTS: ∙ 4 overripe bananas ∙ 1/2 cup brown sugar ∙ 1 tsp vanilla ∙ 1/2 cup softened butter ∙ 1/2 cup orange juice ∙ 3 tsp cinnamon ∙ 3/4 cup yogurt ∙ 1 and 2/3 cups flour ∙ 1/2 cup cocoa powder ∙ 1 tbsp baking powder ∙ 1/2 tsp baking soda ∙ 1/2 tsp salt ∙ 1/2 cup chocolate chips, plus more for the top INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a pie plate with parchment paper. 2. In a blender, mix the overripe bananas, brown sugar, egg, butter, vanilla, yogurt, cinnamon, cocoa powder and orange juice. Blend until smooth and well combined. 3. Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl (flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt). 4. Pour the blended mixture into the dry ingredients. 5. Add the chocolate chips and mix just until evenly combined. 6. Pour the batter into the parchment-lined pie plate and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Enjoy!

The Bradleys in Ukraine A Russian soldier🇷🇺 in front of a burned-out M2A2 Bradley IFV formerly operated by Ukrainian🇺🇦 forces. Starting in January 2023, more than 300 Bradleys (according to the U.S. DoD) were delivered 📦to Ukraine. Nowadays, they are operated by a bunch of different units📝: the 47th Mechanized Brigade “Magura”, the 100th Mechanized Brigade, the 425th Assault Regiment “Skelya”, and the 95th and 82nd Air Assault Brigades. Many of these brigades were deployed in very critical areas of the front 💥, and thus it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that a considerable number of Bradleys were lost❌ over the last few years. 190 of them were either destroyed or captured by Russian forces, according to visually confirmed data. The Bradley we see here is one of them. #UkraineWar #Bradley
