So thrilled to win the main prize in the Portrait category with my photo of Alison Spittle at the British Photography Awards! I was so chuffed to see my photo up there alongside the work of actual professional photographers whose work I’ve admired for years. A HUGE thank you to Alison for trusting me with her vision. Her homemade dress made of shower loofahs was genius! A MASSIVE thank you to the judges of the BPAs who I still can’t believe picked my photo out of all the amazing work in the category. The night wouldn’t have been half as fun if @hollyrnewman wasn’t there with me, so a BIG thank you to my mum for babysitting and allowing us our first proper night out since we became parents! #bpa #britishphotographyawards The winning photo in question! Shot at my home away from home @hotdog_studios This is my other photo that was in the running last night. A photo of one of my absolute faves, @fatiha.elghorri A few weeks ago I asked/ begged my mates to vote for it for the People’s Choice prize but unfortunately it didn’t win. Thank you to everyone who voted anyway, I really appreciate it! And the biggest thank you to my wife/ bestie/ queen @hollyrnewman What a woman to have in your corner! The most supportive, loving wife and mum!
HERE IT IS!!!! Absolutely thrilled to share before and afters of our gorgeous new @kaboodlekitchen kitchen (please note there are a few little bits that require finishing), but we are officially back home and LOVING it so far!! Will share more details soon including our full reno vlog but I couldn’t help myself and had to show you asap! As I said, still a few little things to do and need to style it properly with some stools, new curtains, might even add shelves above the island etc but it’s already feeling and looking absolutely gorgeous. Even fletch keeps running in saying “beautiful new kitchen” 🥹😭 ps if anyone has tips on covering the dreaded NBN box.. pls let me know 🤪 Ad

A socialist just WON a seat on the South San Francisco school board! We led from the very first count last night. Working families in Area E of SSFUSD gave us 6 of every 10 votes counted so far! Parents, educators and young people voted for smaller classes, real help for kids learning English, and safe schools for every family. No ICE in our classrooms without a judge’s warrant. A socialist program for our schools! This is a historic win for the Peace and Freedom Party, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and independent socialism in the Bay Area. When working people got the chance to vote for socialist solutions in our schools, outside the two-party system, we took it. We ran an openly socialist campaign. Dozens of Peace and Freedom Party volunteers, almost all of them young, built a serious field plan and carried it out. They made thousands of calls and knocked on doors across Area E. By winning here in South San Francisco, we showed that socialism and the Peace and Freedom Party can win. And we are just getting started! Our kids can’t wait. Socialists get the job done. #SouthCity #SouthCitySchools #PeaceAndFreedomParty #VoteSocialist #SouthSanFrancisco
