Dabbla

Greatest Wanker Of All Time 🪓

My fourth solo album is out today! Fully produced by the homie @jaysun_music

During 2020 when the whole world began to see itself for the weirdo bastard it is, Jay and I started making songs and shooting music videos with @lewisheart, mainly for therapy and to keep our heads. Before long, we had a dozen on the go and even though none of us wanted to make an album, it was almost as if it just began to take on a life of its own.

This one’s littered with personal WhatsApp messages because that was the main form of comms at the time. We were all out of work and locked in our houses. My mum was in hospital and lots of personal things were going on for us all. I was trying to fall back in love with making music, but finding the drive and time amidst all the chaos wasn’t easy.

It’s pretty miraculous that we’ve managed to pull it all together and I’m really fucking proud of us for finishing it. Things take time, time costs money and money’s always tight. That’s why these projects can take years to put together and a bloody exhausting amount of energy, yet at the same time, can be so so cleansing and cathartic if you manage to complete them. There’s a lot of emotional change embodied in this one and I trust you’ll dig it.

This Friday 7th June we’ll be partying and celebrating in Camden (@CamdenAssembly). Music starts at 7pm. I’ll be on super early so don’t mess about and get in there nice and sharpish!

ILLAMAN will be there, DJ Nonames, Joseph Joyce (the guy who did all the skits on Year Of The Monkey), Pierre Grizzle and of course, man like Matt Frost on the ones and the twos. This ain’t your average show. This’ll be a totally different Dabbla experience to anything you’ve seen before. I’ve got something special planned, plus I’ve also invited my good friend @mlmagic to come fuck with all your heads.

See you at the teardown!
