Dóru | One tree at a time

The watering period begun earlier than I had hoped for. Heatwaves made their appearance from late May, bringing abnormally high temperatures. This week it will reach even 42c in Athens. Many believe that planting trees is the difficult part of a reforestation project, watering in the dry season is. It must be consistent, it is difficult and time consuming. It is also heartbreaking when you see them die. Hopefully some will survive, this is why I am experimenting with plants that have a long, over 30cm in length, root; they fare much better compared to nursery bought plants which were cultivated in small pots.
