Casa Vae

Another week, another inspo post. It’s no secret that this page has strayed away from my usual interior design and home decor content, and while that makes me a little sad, I’m determined to see this season of my life through.

I have so many ideas for what I want to update in my house, but unfortunately I have more ideas than I do time or funds. And while I am gainfully employed, I find it hard to make time for the things that fuel my passion beyond the rigid career I’ve built for myself.

However, I’ve made a promise to myself to get out of my comfort zone, get back into my hobbies and find inspiration in other areas again. I took myself on a solo date to @maximonrestaurant in Baltimore’s Harbor East and it was exactly what I needed.

The food was good, but the vibe was even better. I felt like I was transported to the heart of CDMX and a hot summer day, and for two hours I lived my best cosmopolitan life. It’s hard to believe that this is Baltimore. But really, this is Baltimore.

I must admit that Charm City isn’t my favorite place to be, but Baltimore has always been a hidden gem for good food, regardless of who you are and what you enjoy.

Somewhere between my taco and plantain fried rice, I decided that I need to start doing the things that scare me and prioritizing the things that excite me.
