2027 Elections: We Can’t Find Enough Private Jets To Hire For Our Campaigns— Senate President Akpabio Laments Senate President Godswill Akpabio has lamented the difficulty he and other politicians preparing for the 2027 general elections are facing in hiring private jets for their campaign activities. Akpabio blamed the situation on the inability of private airline operators in Nigeria to meet the growing demand for air travel. He made the remarks during Tuesday’s plenary while lawmakers debated a motion seeking the enforcement of the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and China. Using the December festive season to highlight the pressure on the aviation sector, Akpabio urged the Federal Government to address the challenges facing domestic airline operators. “Watch December and the confusion. Even the private airlines cannot handle it. Common campaigns, we cannot see even private jets to hire. We should at least be able to urge the federal government to look into that to alleviate the plight of airlines,” he said. The Senate President also recalled when Nigeria had a national carrier, Nigerian Airways, which transported pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and operated flights to different destinations. According to him, the defunct airline once had between 32 and 40 aircraft. “We used to have a plane in those days carrying people to Saudi Arabia and all that. At the time, Nigerian Airways had about 32 planes on ground, about 40, going from one place to the other. So, how did we get here?” he asked. Akpabio maintained that Nigeria needs a national carrier capable of flying the country’s flag.

Welcoming to the ONER world. An exclusive reveal of our first ever flagship store here in NYC. Doors open to our beautiful community on 7th November where you’ll be able to shop our exclusive NYC edition and so much more. I wanted the first store to be inspired by a real life walk in wardrobe. An activewear dream. Every detail is intentional from the duality of the stainless steal that embodies strength paired with the transparent resin that symbolises femininity and sensuality. The duality of women in a true form. Stepping into the store you will find the most perfect lighting in every corner and in the fit check rooms which are intimate and personal to you. I was incredibly passionate about making an official ONER scent. Working with incredible people in Italy to bring you a brand scent that will be memorable for life. Each element isn’t rushed. This took 6 years to build and finally be ready to bring to you. A special thank you to my incredible Retail Director Jonathan Goodman, and Head of Architecture and Store Planning Tom Elliott my Visual Creative Director Jessica Wells and of course my Design Director and right hand girl Vikki Dixey for helping my bring the NYC edition to life. Finally to Harmo design duo, who brought my entire vision to life and was so patient with every change I made ever 5 minutes. I’m sorry. I cannot wait for you to come through the doors put in your ONER and looking fing HOT!!!!!!! Okay bye 🖤
