It’s Polar Bear Week. And there’s something the world’s leading polar bear conservation organizations aren’t talking enough about. Polar bears are still being killed so their skins can be sold as luxury items. And some of the biggest conservation organizations continue to defend allowing that trade. Including @polarbearsinternational and @wwf Smith I’m writing this from Churchill, Manitoba, where I’ve been watching polar bears along the shores of Hudson Bay. Just days ago, I was in Nunavut, where polar bears were being hunted in the same area we had travelled thousands of kilometres to photograph them. On our final day, we saw photographs of three bears that had been killed. It was heartbreaking. I’ve spent years photographing bears around the world. I understand that climate change is the greatest long-term threat to polar bears. I also respect Inuit subsistence hunting rights. But why, in 2026, are we still allowing polar bear skins to be sold on the international luxury market? And why are organizations that raise millions to protect polar bears defending that trade? More than 4,000 polar bear skins were exported from Canada between 2002 and 2021. We cannot restore Arctic sea ice tomorrow. But we can work to end the international commercial trade in polar bear skins. We should be doing both. I’ve respected Polar Bears International for years. But after examining their position, I can no longer support the organization while it continues to defend allowing this trade. A polar bear should not end up as a rug on someone’s floor simply because someone is willing to pay for it. This Polar Bear Week, I want people to ask harder questions. Ask Polar Bears International and WWF where they stand. Ask why they continue to defend this trade. I’ve written an article explaining my position, including what happened in Nunavut and what the documentary @tradesecretfilm revealed. Please read it. Share it. And help start a conversation that desperately needs to happen. Full article at the link in my story. We can and we must do better 🙏🐻‍❄️ #PolarBears #PolarBearWeek #WildlifeConservation #conservation #bethechange
Reasons Behind My Separation From My Wife — Actor Kunle Afod Reveals Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has opened up about the circumstances surrounding his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, popularly known as Celeb Wife. The actor, whose marriage hit the rocks in February 2026 after Desola allegedly moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home, spoke about the issues that led to their separation during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar. Afod attributed the breakdown of their marriage to jealousy and allegations of infidelity from both sides, arguing that women sometimes struggle to tolerate the same behaviour they exhibit. Apologising to women before addressing the matter, he said: “Separation from my wife? This job is heavy to the extent that we sometimes don’t have time for our home. Did you want to hear? To all the women here, my apologies please. I need to beg you guys first before I talk about my separation” “Women believe that men che@t but no man can che@t with a tree or wood. Men che@t with women. It’s easier for women to be lesbian than men to be gay. So, if you have a wife who is too close to a female friend, the husband will also suspect her. You are in trouble because they che@t more in that level than having it with the opposite s+x” “It’s easy for a woman to convince her husband to buy her dildo, she will tell you that she doesn’t want to che@t on you. She would buy up to three dildos.” He further questioned why some women would use multiple s+x toys but condemn their husbands for doing the same. “Why is she not satisfied with just one dildo? That can also be referred to as adultery too. The same woman that has the confidence to use dildo won’t take it lightly when she caught her husband using s+x toys,” he added.
