On November 02, hundreds of Muslims gathered at the Alamganj Kamel Peer Sahabuddin Aulia Masjid in Dhubri’s Alamganj amid the eviction drive, after the action was temporarily suspended.

On November 01, the District Administration conducted the eviction drive against at least 800 illegal encroachers living on Government/Forest lands across bighas.

However, the bulldozer action was temporarily halted when it went to demolish a Masjid.

As such, several Muslims gathered and offered prayers to Allah seeking his intervention in preventing the demolition from taking place in Alamganj.

Previously, authorities demolished several houses and other buildings illegally constructed in the area, displacing hundreds from the illegally occupied land.
