At first, the eyes can have a light grey to brown hue. Then by about 3-6 months, the biggest eye color change will happen. The pigment that makes up your eyes will begin to fill up enough that you can have an idea. However, it isn't until about 1 year of age where most baby's eyes will have solidified enough pigment to determine an adult color.
Some babies with light eyes can still shift slightly in shade up to 3 years, but this won't be a dramatic color change.

My daughter literally woke up at 11 months and her eyes had changed from blue (like her dad) to stormy sea green. Her son, within a couple of days of birth, turned stormy sea green. We know of no other members of our family with this pretty color but given we have four sets of dna dictating eye color instead of two like everything else, some ancient ancestor could have had that color.

My son’s eyes were green till he was 3. Then they went to hazel around almost 4. Then brown. Was crazy. I thought once past 2 years old that the wouldn’t change.
