Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has been sentenced to 13 years in prison or pay Ksh21 million in fines after being convicted on three money-laundering counts in the Ksh 588 million graft case. The Milimani Anti-Corruption Court sentenced him to five years on Count 10, four years on Count 11 and four years on Count 12, bringing the total to 13 years. He must pay the fines imposed on the respective counts or serve the corresponding default prison terms. However, the new sentences will run concurrently with his existing 12-year prison sentence from the graft case. This means the 13 years will not be added to the 12 years; the sentences will be served at the same time.
15 years of us. And counting 🖤 @jensbyggmark
One of the pilots of a private jet that crashed in Florida, killing all nine on board, has been identified by her mother as Nathalia Filgueiras, according to the New York Times. Read more at our link in bio.
Forgiving and letting go are less about absolving someone of their wrongdoing and more about finding our own peace. We deserve a chance to live beyond the hurt their actions have caused. But forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting. We can remember what happened, set firm boundaries and protect ourselves from repeated harm. Forgiveness needn’t mean restoring trust or allowing someone back into our lives. It doesn’t remove accountability either. We may still need to take action against the wrong that was done, including legal action if necessary. And yes, some experiences are so traumatic that forgiveness may feel difficult or even impossible. That is okay too. We don’t need to force ourselves to forgive or feel guilty for not being ready. We deserve safety, support and peace, wherever we are in our healing 🙏🏻 #Forgiveness #InnerPeace #Healing #GaurGopalDas #YouCanHaveItAll [Gaur Gopal Das, Monkify, You Can Have It All, Forgiveness, Inner Peace, Peace, Healing, Resentment, Accountability, Inner Strength, Mental Wellbeing]
Our Sagey girl is 6 🥹🫶🏻 This sweet girl made me a mom and has taught me more in the last 6 years than I could ever put into words. Sage is kind, thoughtful, smart, silly, sassy, observant, and always looking out for everyone around her 🥹 She makes every day brighter and is such an amazing example to her little sister and brother. 5 was such a special year. Watching her step outside her comfort zone, be brave in moments that used to scare her, and work so hard in school/dance/every activity she tries has been so inspiring to me truly. Seeing her discover and find confidence in what she’s capable of has been one of my favorite parts of being her mom. I can't wait to see what this year brings for our Sagey! We love you SO much sweet girl 🫶🏻
Are CASETiFY cases actually worth it? 👀 Testing out my new iPhone 18 pro CASETiFY Case + some of their accessories to see how they hold up in real life. I love that the Clear Case still lets the color of my phone show through while giving it the protection I want. Use code 15SARAHHALE for 15% off 🤍 @casetify #ad #CASETiFYPartner
