A gang targeting petrol pumps in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has been busted by police, with two accused arrested from Sikar. According to police, the accused, identified as Ankit Verma and Vishal Mehra, allegedly stole number plates from vehicles parked outside houses at night. They would then attach these stolen plates to their own vehicles, visit petrol pumps, get their tanks filled and flee without paying. Their entire operation was aimed at avoiding identification through CCTV footage and vehicle registration numbers. The repeated incidents had created fear among petrol pump employees. Jaipur Police have arrested the two accused and are investigating their alleged involvement in more such incidents. #rvcjinsta
Give Tinubu Another Term And Bakassi Deep Seaport, Lagos-Calabar Highway Will Be Delivered — VP Shettima Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Cross River residents that the proposed Bakassi Deep Seaport and Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway will be completed, urging them to re-elect President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu in 2027. Shettima gave the assurance on Monday while representing Tinubu at the APC presidential campaign rally held at U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar. He thanked residents for supporting the administration over the past three years, describing their relationship with the government as “an alliance of prosperity, an alliance of opportunity.” The Vice President urged voters to renew the mandates of Tinubu, Otu and other APC candidates contesting for legislative seats, saying the party was seeking another term based on its performance. He added that elected officials must remain accountable to the people. Speaking on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Shettima said the project would connect coastal communities, ease the movement of people and goods, boost tourism and attract investments. He added that it would create thousands of direct and indirect jobs. On the Bakassi Deep Seaport, he disclosed that the Federal Government had approved the project, expressing confidence that it would become an international maritime gateway upon completion. According to him, the seaport would attract shipping companies and create employment, positioning Cross River to benefit from Nigeria’s maritime economy. Shettima also highlighted the government’s student financing initiative, saying it would reduce the financial burden on parents, promote human capital development and expand access to higher education. He said the intervention would ensure that financial difficulties did not prevent children from pursuing their education.
Marathon No. 28 LFGGG 💪🏽💪🏽 A really f*cking hard day, made beautiful by the people who carried me through it. Kisses from my babies and husband, the love of my mom and uncle, celebrations with my Peloton family, and the electric energy of complete strangers. This race did not go at ALL how I planned. My blood sugar kept crashing and I burned through my fuel. But when things got hard, my people were there pushing me on. This race is the humanity of NYC. It’s an honor to get to cross that finish line for the ninth time, knowing this year my very sleepy babies were waiting for me on the other side 🤍
