Ankita Bhandari’s parents were dragged from Raj Ghat on Wednesday evening as they staged a ‘maun vrat’ or a silent protest to demand justice in her m*rder case. During the protest, Bhandari’s mother, Soni Devi, reportedly fainted. Activist Yogita Bhayana said the mother collapsed after police forcefully removed the family from the site. Bhayana also alleged that after Soni Devi fainted, the police delayed taking her to the hospital, and then took her nearly 16 kilometers away to the Burari Hospital. The family has been demanding a fair CBI investigation in the case. They also demand a revocation of BJP leader Dushyant Gautam’s appointment as the Governor of Sikkim, alleging that he is the “VIP” involved in their daughter’s m*rder.

The outfit featured a vest fitted with Jägermeister bottles and Red Bull cans, a headscarf, and what appear to be prop guns. Its name was a play on the Jägerbomb drink. The costume raises questions about the line between Halloween humor and offensive stereotypes—and whether something worn outside work should have consequences at work.
